In many instances I want to convey to the user that they can enlarge the image. One way is by setting the caption to:

But, when it is clicked, the caption would need to change to something useful

At the moment the te t has to be the same.

Or is there another way to inform the user they can enlarge such images?

  • Hi @ajtruckle,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Do you have a link to a page on your website where I can see how your lightbox looks?

That will help us make better recommendations to you.

    Sure

Some of my images can be clicked to view larger. But this is not apparent to a visitor. Hence it would be nice when the image is normal size the caption is xxx – Click to enlarge. But when clicked, we don’t need that extra text.

    Hi @ajtruckle,

Right now there isn’t a way to have a one caption showing on an image in the page when you hover (“click to enlarge”) and another one when it is opened in FooBox.

The simplest solution would to turn off the caption showing under each image and manually add a text instruction to “click to enlarge”. Then when the image is clicked and shown in FooBox Lightbox it will show the caption as usual.
