    Hi,

During the last update, it seems to me that the advanced settings of Capture Status had been modified (it was in “Manual”… and payments were not successful – In the log file, there is only “INFO Webhook received. Event: CHECKOUT.ORDER.APPROVED”, but not “INFO Webhook received. Event: PAYMENT.CAPTURE.COMPLETED”).

So I selected “Completed”. Orders placed since then have been finalized. Except one, for which there were several products (idem : In the log file, there is only INFO Webhook received. Event: CHECKOUT.ORDER.APPROVED, but not INFO Webhook received. Event: PAYMENT.CAPTURE.COMPLETED) :

    • a digital product (which therefore goes into “Finished” status after payment)
    • a physical product (which changes to “Processing”)

Well, this failure may be unrelated… But anyway I don’t really understand what this selection is for.

And, in my situation, which status to select (“Completed” or “Processing”)?

    Thanks

Nothing was modified in the last update to affect the capture status option.

Well, this failure may be unrelated… But anyway I don’t really understand what this selection is for.

Here is the description for that setting, which you can view if you hover over the help icon:

For orders that are authorized, when the order is set to this status, it will trigger a capture. When set to manual, the payment must be manually captured.

In the plugin settings you can configure if the order’s total is authorized so you can capture payment at a later date or if you want the order total captured immediately. Most merchants want the funds captured immediately.

But it’s not uncommon for a merchant to authorize the order’s total and then capture the amount once the product actually ships. This setting determines when the order’s amount is captured based on order status when the amount has been authorized.

    Kind Regards
