• Hi, there.

I recently updated to WordPress 6.2 and am experiencing an issue with captions not showing up in image blocks.

This issue is resolved by specifying a capture when uploading images from the media library.

However, I usually drag and drop images in after creating the image block, but in this case the caption is not showing.

Can you tell me how to solve this problem?

I have deactivated all plugins, and tested on the Astra theme.

    Thanks

Hi @seotaro when you click the option to display caption in the blocks toolbar as shown in the screenshot below does is it work?

    Hi, @thelmachido

    Thanks for answering.

    Oh, Its working well.

But is it possbile to change that button to be enabled by default like it was before the update?

Hi @seotaro I am failing to remember how the captions were displayed before, are you able to give me more information about what you remember? The drag and drop + uploading option has the same option for adding captions for me.
You can create a bug report can be created GitHub. I am not seeing a similar issue, let me know if you need assistance with this.
