Car Demon Plug In Installation

I need your help. I’ve installed Car Demons in a sub-directory, but every time I try to set the permalinks so I can see the list, I get a 500.52 error, and I have to set the permalinks back to the default. Has anyone else reported this specific problem to you before?

This is the first time this issue has been mentioned.

Can I ask a few questions to help determine the issue?

Tell me a little bit about your hosting environment, who are you hosting with?

Do you know what Platform are you using (Apache, IIS)?

Are you running any other PlugIns? Have you tried disabling other PlugIns?

What theme are you running? If you flip the theme to Twenty Eleven do you get the same issue?

I am having struggles with https://www.cruisecarsales.com. I have read through your answers to date but it hasn’t resolved my problems. I am using Weaver II Theme and have used ‘yes’ for your them under settings (so the cars show up) My problems are:
– I can’t get the location to work (so that creates problems also with the service/parts pages
– I can’t get the contact options to work or the contact page (I had to change that just so they could get emails)
– And finally – it only shows 9 cars at max and even though they add many additional features or information from the car sales page – it doesn’t show up.
I am just helping this business at no charge as I am the Downtown Revitalization person in the community. Of course, what do they say – no good deed goes unpunished. This is my first time using your program. Thanks for your assistance.

No worries, I’d be more than happy to try to help you. Let’s tackle these issues one at a time and see if we can get you rolling.

First let’s address the issue with only 9 vehicles showing. I think you can resolve that by installing a navigation PlugIn like WP-Pagenavi;

Next lets look at the location and contact information issues. You’ll want to make sure that all contact fields for all locations are filled out on the contact settings page. Just glancing at your site it would appear that there is a single location, if that’s the case then make sure there is only one location under locations. Fill out all of the contact fields, especially the Names.

Give that a quick try and let me know if you’re still having issues.

As for the contact information, I have filled the information out in the “Gravenhurst” location form but it is now putting Rob’s name as the location rather the Town.

I am having problem using car-demon . I did a mail configuration for my wordpress site and its working fine but when I used car-demon contact_us page and send to friend , mails are not going . So please guide me how I can solve this issue .

I’ve got a similar error on a new site with basic godaddy plugins. I can get to the individual car postings just fine (website/cars-for-sale/carX) but when I go to the root (such as website/cars-for-sale) I get this error:

Warning: Illegal offset type in isset or empty in /home/content/a/a/a/websitebase/html/subwebsite/wp-includes/post.php on line 1097

What do you suggest I do?

Ha! Nevermind. Looks like I too had issues with the SEO plugin. after deactivating it’s back.

It works great but did you find an issue with the Yoast SEO problem? I’m having problems with this one and i can’t find any answer for this problem…

I did not find what the real problem was with SEO – I just turned it off and got it to work. I’m not much of a programmer so I didn’t dig into it at all. Good luck!

Hey everyone, sorry it’s been so long since I’ve been on here. The old day job has been eating into all my free time.

I just wanted to pop on here real quick and let everyone know that I’m aware of the Yoast SEO issue and I’ll be addressing it in the near future. It might not make it into the next update but it is fairly high on the priority list and I’ll do what I can to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Just wanted to let you know I’m going to try to move this issue up on my list and try to get it resolved in the next release (1.2.5) if possible, if not I promise it’ll be the priority for version 1.2.6

So I installed the plugin and created a vehicle to test. I filled out all the information and looked up a lot of the previous bug fixes to try and fix my problem but to to prevail.

I set my permalinks as per the instructions. When viewing my new car page (cars-for-sale) I can see my car listed. But when I click on the car.. nothing.. no information.. and no images. Halp meh plzzz ??

That was good timing, I was getting ready to sign off for a few days. I just barely glanced at your site and it looks like you might need to go into the CarDemon settings and set:

Use included theme files? to “Yes”

That should force your theme to use the theme files included with the PlugIn.

If you’re still having an issue let me know and I’ll check back with you early next week.
