Car search widget locks up and other problems

The car search widget locks up on every screen once you choose the category that you want: make, price, ect.. Once it locks up you can’t even get the search button to work. I am also having a problem with the compare widget. It does not work at all. I can have the option checked to use the compare in the settings and put the widget in the sidebar and when you check the boxes to compare and hit compare, all it does is refresh the inventory screen. It does not do anything that resembles a compare screen. Please help!
