Card owner’s information not displaying on Stipre Dashboard

  • Hi Team,

    I had an issue with customer’s information display on Stripe Dashboard >> payment detail page.

    This customer paid via Apple Pay.
    It was showing customer as Unknow.

    I would like to know is there anything wrong with my setup in plugin?

    There isn’t anything wrong with your setup. One of the key differences between something like Apple Pay and a credit card form payment is that with Apple Pay, the wallet is providing the billing address information. Where as with a card form payment, you’re sourcing the address info from the checkout page.

    That is why the payment intent’s billing address info is blank in the case of Apple Pay. We’ll do some testing on our end to see if there’s any other reason why the billing info isn’t populated but this won’t have any negative impact on your store etc.

    Thanks for your response. Now, it’s quite clearly for me to understand.
    You know, sometimes the payments with Apple Wallet, it displayed the owner’s detail, sometimes it was blank. Not all payments detail were blank. I’m curious about that.
