    I have updated to v 2.1
    I have noticed that the card payment option is not visible on the checkout page
    I have advanced card processing activated
    Refreshing the page does not help.
    If I then visit the woocommerce/settings/payments page
    and then refresh the cart – the card option appears.
    I have encountered this before but the issue seemed to have been sorted?
    Thoughts please?

    It appears that the issue first surfaced in version 2.0.4. This occurs when you either upgrade or downgrade to 2.0.4, or move to any later versions, including 2.0.5 and 2.1.0.

    A potential workaround for this issue could be visiting any page within the PayPal Payments settings, or the Payments section under the WooCommerce settings. There’s no need to save any changes.

    Hi Paul,

    Yes, once the settings pages were visited once, all should be fine. At least until you reinstall any version between 2.0.4 and 2.1.0. This would trigger the behavior again.

    I am not aware of what’s causing it, but the goal is to resolve the issue (here the GitHub issue for reference) for the next update. So when the (presumably) 2.2.0 update is released sometime in July, this should not happen again.

    Hi @niklasinpsyde, the workaround here is only staying in place temporarily on our website before card payments drop off again every few hours.

    For reference we use an autoscaling WP implementation which likely explains why this keeps happening when different servers are spun up to replace old ones. I’ve also reverted back to 2.0.3 but still the issue persists now.

    Is it possible to let me know if there has been any progress in better understanding the cause or working toward a fix?

    Hi @paulcobb

    The issue has been addressed with this PR which will be included in the next update, so I will mark this thread as resolved already. This means when the next update is released, the Advanced Card Processing gateway should remain visible on the Checkout page without needing to visit any admin pages.

    @torlockc The issue reported in this thread was introduced in 2.0.4. If you encounter any problems beyond what was reported in this thread, please create a new thread for yourself with more details about the problem you’re facing.
