    Hi! I am currently using Sandbox Mode.

    Under WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > PayPal Payments > Manage > PayPal Card Processing

    I am shown this error/warning:

    Unfortunately, the card processing option is not yet available in your country.

    I have some questions:
    1. Does card processing refer to using the credit card button under the yellow button?
    2. Or, does it refer to processing card directly without a PayPal account?
    2.1 Is there a feature where the customer can use credit/debit card directly without a PayPal account?
    3. Is this feature not available in Singapore? or is it because I’m using a sandbox account?
    4. How is the country determined for this error? Is it the paypal account country, website’s country? or user’s country?

    Regarding your questions:
    1. No, the PayPal Card Processing is a separate, optional payment gateway.
    2. The PayPal Card Processing offers customers a simplified, on-site checkout experience with no need to enter any additional information apart from the actual card details. Regular credit/debit card payments may require additional information or even a PayPal account to be processed, but the PayPal Card Processing does not.
    3. Currently, the PayPal Card Processing is not yet available in Singapore. You can find a list of supported countries/currencies here: https://developer.paypal.com/docs/business/checkout/reference/currency-availability-advanced-cards/
    4. It’s a combination of multiple factors, but primarily your shop location and the PayPal (merchant) account location. If you create a US merchant sandbox account, set your store location to the US, and onboard with the new US sandbox account, then you will be asked to complete the business registration to use “Advanced credit and debit card features”. After you have completed this, the PayPal Card Processing should be available for testing.

    Without the PayPal Card Processing, you can still receive credit/debit card payments through the black smart button you mentioned in the first question. But in this case, PayPal performs some checks before presenting the credit card form. How this form looks like or what information is required, depends on many factors outside of our influence.

    Hi, I’m having this same issue with one of our client sites in Mexico. How do I deactivate PayPal Card Processing (since not available for Mexico) but still be able to process regular PayPal payments?
