When trying to use cards theme I only get two of the five images. When I went into troubleshoot for plugins to disable, I got this message: When enabling the plugin, wordpress-popular-posts, a site failure occurred. Because of this the change was automatically reverted. Same for Classic Widgets. But with all other plug-ins disabled, still only two images. After reading another post here I checked for .webpage plugins – don’t have any.

Any insight will be appreciated. Ty…

    Hi @chipur,

    Try this:

    1. Go to WP Dashboard > Settings > WordPress Popular Posts, then click on the Tools link at the top.
    2. Under Thumbnails, set Lazy Load to No, then click on Apply to save changes.
    3. Clear WP Super Cache’s page cache.

I appreciate your quick reply. We’re close to greatness, Hector. I made the change, cleared the cache. Opened the site and all five images were there. Refreshed, only the top two were there, then all five, then the bottom two. Cleared browser caches as well.

Might be an issue with the plugin you’re using to lazy load images (WP Super Cache? Something else?) Hard to say without actually seeing the problem myself though (the popular post list you have on your homepage isn’t using the Card theme at the moment).

If you know what plugin is in charge of lazy loading images on your website try disabling its lazy loading feature and see whether the issue persist then report back.

Okay, Hector. Yeah, left Sunrise up – Cards didn’t look so hot with missing images. Looks like you nailed it. Disabled lazy load in WP Smush and bingo. Willing to sacrifice a little speed for looks. I’ll check on it through tomorrow. If something goes goofy I’ll update. Thank you…

Ah, if you’re using Smush to optimize and lazy load your images this workaround might help. Remember to clear WP Super Cache’s cache afterwards for changes to take effect.

Thank you so much. Will check back in if things go wonky.

Just did the LL exercise you recommended. Looking good. Will let you know if that changes. Thanks again.
