Carousel and gallery pagination

  • Is it possible for carousel to jump to other paginated gallery page ? (<!–nextpage–>)

    Basically it is another gallery on same Post, or several of them.

    I am worried older people and some beginners wont notice gallery has much more images when it is paginated. And they will see only images in carousel on first paginated page.

    I’m afraid that’s not possible at the moment. When you create a gallery on a new page, it’s considered as a brand new gallery, with no connection to the previous one.

    I like the idea though; I created a trac ticket to take note of your suggestion, and we’ll consider it for a future Jetpack update.

    Thank you. It is well needed, because it is easy to miss a lot of photos in gallery.

    I tried with Paginated Effects Gallery and hard coded short code in gallery Post template, but one simple check in YSlow says that it is more or less useless. Browser pulls all thumbs on page load, so what is point of huge gallery pagination. So i gave up with Paginated Effects Gallery.

    Hi there,

    As of yet, we haven’t worked on that Trac ticket; once the developers take a look at the ticket and decide whether or not to work on that enhancement, they’ll update it with their comments. You should add yourself to it so that you’ll be notified when it’s updated:
