Carousel custom meta on products pages

  • Hello,

    Using the latest version of WordPress and the Boot Store I am finding that when adding a product page the following custom meta text appears within the product description:

    bre_add_to_home_carousel: 1
    bre_carousel_external_link:
    bre_carousel_link:
    bre_carousel_slogan:
    bre_carousel_title:

    If I go in to the edit page for the product and delete the lines under advanced settings and republish the page the above lines reappear.

    Any help to stop this from happening would be appreciated!

  • There is no special product page in this theme, you can create regular pages or posts with different templates.

    Please explain thoroughly what you do so I can understand where the problem is.

    I have the same problem. What I do, is go to “Products -> Add New”, and then add the product. As for the rest, supersonic84 described it.

    Since you say there aren’t any product page, can this be a plugin error instead? I use the WP e-Commerce plugin.

    Well, Boot Store main site says it is compatible with eCommerce plugin so they ought to work well together.

    I looked all over the boot store theme files and I didn’t find any of the meta data supersonic84 posted so it wouldn’t come from there as far as I know.

    When I installed WP e-Commerce it worked fine, no additional meta data was added to any product. I think another plugin you have could be causing this.

    Yup. Just deactivated the WP e-Commerce plugin, and recreated the product by adding a new post instead. No error.

    But how to easily add an add to cart button and express checkout with paypal? Seems I can’t use the previous plugin, so do you have one to recommend which is compatible?

    I have posted this question on their forum, so hopefully we’ll get this resolved soon…

    Recently I’ve looked at a number of eCommerce plugins for simple cart and paypal, the only real good and easy to use plugin I found was Easy Digital Downloads, it suited my needs perfectly.

    Lots of translations, lots of extensions for it. ??
