carousel post slider poblem

Hi Stephen or anyone that can help.
I have the carousel slider for posts set up but I cannot get it to look like the featured post them, as I have post right across post carousel . I want to have a 50/50 post as in demo with snippet on left.
I have tried for 4 days solid trying all sorts of ways but to no avail, I have put [gallery type="slideshow" id="1,2,3'4,5,6,7,8,"] in home page etc that dosen’t work.

I have featured image set etc it is probably simple when you know how. I have treble checked what the tutorial sais. anyway if you can help I would really appreciate it. I’m building this site for my friend matt. Anyway my url is https://www.nucleusbaits.co.uk Thank you.
