    Hi,

For one of my clients, I’m trying to work with Easy Testimonials. There are 2 problems:

    1. The widget (E.T. cycle) doesn’t slide/fade.
    2. When putting the shortcode of several fading testimonials in a visual editor widget, using 10 seconds per testimonial, the following testimonial is only shown when refreshing the page. And only if you’re lucky…

The website isn’t public yet, so I can’t link to it. I can provide log in details by e-mail, if you want.

    Hello!

It sounds like you have a javascript conflict on your site.

Unfortunately, I can’t help diagnose anything as the site isn’t live — however, please make sure you try all the Javascript compatibility options.

I do not recommend placing the shortcode inside a Visual Editor – I do recommend using a Text Editor or Basic Editor. Typically, Visual Editor plugins make things go awry.

Do you have the Pro version of the plugin? We provide hands-on support to users to resolve issues such as these, via our ticket system at [email protected]. If you’re a Pro user, go ahead and send a message there and we can begin gaining access to your site.

    All the best,
    Richard

    Hi,

I put in the normal text widget, but the result is the same. No rotation or fading whatsoever.

Ehm… what can I do to ‘make sure I try all Javascript compatibility options’? I’m not a coder ??

    Hello!

On the Basic Options tab, look for a Cycle 2 Fix option and check the box.

Once done, give your page that has the testimonial cycle on it a refresh and see if that helps!

    Best,
    Richard

Thanks. Was the update from 5 hours ago because of my thread?

Anyway: following these steps made everything worse. Now I see only the title.

    Hello!

The recent update wasn’t for you, it addressed some other things that have been worked on recently.

Perhaps the height of the element isn’t being set correctly? Depending on your theme’s CSS, the javascript could be picking something up incorrectly. You can try setting container=1 in your shortcode — sometimes that helps.

Sometimes you just have to do some customization to get it to work just right with your chosen theme – I understand if that isn’t an option.

    All the best,
    Richard

    Hello!

We had an issue with a recent update to our plugin that was causing some cycles to break – it has been patched in version 1.25.2.

    All the best,
    Richard
