I am setting up a Traditional Chinese website for the first time. I am noticing that the Cart and Checkout page is missing some basic translation. i.e. Subtotal and Free Shipping. I thought this would be the basic elements to be translated already. But it is not the case.

What do I need to do to see these few fields translated properly?

    Howdy @ezekielion,

Those 3 strings identified cannot be translated unless one goes to the blocks themselves. But most people would not be able to find them.

Have you given a try to the Say What? plugin:
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/say-what/

I highly recommend it as it allows you to change translatable strings from plugins / themes and WordPress core without editing code.

Let me know how this goes.

    Thanks.

I went to the Cart page as suggested by the WPML support and change the strings in the block directly.

These 3 strings are not from the Theme. They are from the Cart page block. If I remember correctly, they are from WooCommerce. They should have been translated already but they are not. It is fixed on my end but for others sake, WooCommerce should look into these three strings on the empty cart block on the Cart page.

    Hi @ezekielion,

I’m glad to hear you were able to get the issue fixed.

Just to take a few steps back, did you first install WooCommerce and select default site language (English) and later change the site language to Traditional Chinese?

I installed WooCommerce first then change the default site language afterwards.

Hmm, this seems to confirm why you were facing the issue in the first place, as documented in our guide here.

I hope this helps. Should you need further assistance, please feel free to open a new thread.

    Cheers!

Regarding the translation of “your cart is currently empty !” sentence this can be done directly by editing the page
