When I click to order on a out of stock item on a phone or tablet, it then tells me cart is empty, instead of item is out of order. I know for a fact on android, not sure if the same things happens on iOS. Anything I need to do to make this right? I noticed because clients told me something is not working right. Thanks for helping.

    Hi @horsebutte,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Do you have an exact link to a product that’s out of stock where we could see this in action? What’s odd about this behavior is that if a product is marked as Out of Stock, the quantity counter shouldn’t even display on the product page, and it shouldn’t even be possible to add the item to cart anyways.

Typically, we see issues like these are caused by a conflicting plugin or theme installed on the site. In order to troubleshoot this further, would you mind taking the following steps?:

    – Temporarily switch to one of our default themes, such as Storefront, to ensure that this isn’t a theme compatibility issue. Once you switch themes, does everything function as expected?

    – If not and we can rule out the theme compatibility issue, we also recommend deactivating all plugins except for WooCommerce to see if this resolves the issue at that point. If it does, then you would need to activate each plugin, one at a time, to see if you can find the conflicting extension/plugin.

Of course, you’ll want to backup your site content before making any changes, and you could always duplicate the site for testing purposes if you don’t want to interrupt the live site.

    I hope this helps!

Your response about product showing out of stock up front made me think. I′m using a button on a post (https://www.ccophoto.com/milky-way-and-night-sky-outing/) with url: https://www.ccophoto.com/checkout/%20?add-to-cart=20105
But I assume it should show up on phone and pc the same. I will do the testing as you suggested.
I do use booking links because I just recently switched to woocommerce and have all these products already online. So I needed a way to implement the booking option into an existing post. Any better/other solution? Thanks

    Hi there,
I think your solution of an Add to Cart button should work so the testing recommended above is certainly the way to go.

To add a product to an existing post or page you can try the Featured Product or Hand Picked Products block in the page editor under the WooCommerce section of the block editor, or simply search the blocks for product.

I hope that helps you to figure it out.
Feel free to get back to us if you have further questions.

    Hey @horsebutte

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Thanks,
