I am new to WooCommerce and Gutenberg editor and I struggle to understand

how I can re-insert the cross-sell and up-sell block in the cart layout once they are deleted and

how I can modify the column-structure of the cart block, e.g. switch to full width?

Also I wonder how to make the Cart Line Items-block simpler (just 2-3 lines per product ) and move the Cart Totals underneath (so, get rid of columns for the Cart-blocks). In addition I liked the cart to use the width available on the screen, so reduce the side margins.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @ulf01,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I understand you’re new to WooCommerce and using the Gutenberg editor. I’ll be happy to help you out navigate through our platform.

how I can re-insert the cross-sell and up-sell block in the cart layout once they are deleted and

To re-insert the cross-sell block, navigate to the ‘Blocks’ menu in the Gutenberg editor. There, you will find the Cart Cross Sells blocks. Click on it to add it to your cart layout. Here’s a short video for explanation.

how I can modify the column-structure of the cart block, e.g. switch to full width?

For modifying the column structure, you would need to use the ‘Columns’ block. Add this block to your layout and adjust the settings to your preference. To switch to full width, you need to click on the block and then find the settings on the right-hand side of your block editor to choose the correct settings of your choice. You can find more details from this guide.

Also I wonder how to make the Cart Line Items-block simpler (just 2-3 lines per product )

To make the Cart Line Items block simpler, you can use the block settings on the right to select the number of products to show. In most cases, some of the cart blocks are blocked to avoid changes using the block editor, thus, changes can only be achieved with the help of a custom code snippet. You can read more on locked blocks here. More details on customizing the cart block can be found here.

in addition I liked the cart to use the width available on the screen, so reduce the side margins.

In mos cases, the cart uses the width available of the screen, however, you can adjust the ‘Width’ further with the help of custom CSS code. Please note that customization requests are out of our support scope.

You can find more details on customizing your cart from the following guides:

    I hope this helps.

Thats nice and there is indeed a Cross Sell Block. But I can’t find an Up-Sell Block.

That does not work for me. Inserting a Column is no problem but it is impossible to move the cart in there. it can be above or below the column but not in the column. I can also not move the Carts Totals Block except with the up- and down arrows. It certainly stays within the Cart block with the unwanted Column structure.

There are no settings on the right for the Cart Line Items. There are just the Block & Page tabs and the Block tab shows the Blocks name, than a section in grey asking for user feedback and below the advanced settings.

    Hello ulf01,

    Thank you for your reply.

I visited your site https://deepdialog.de to take a look at the cart page.
However, I cannot find a product that I can add to the cart and go to the Cart page.

Could you share the URL of a product that I can use?
Also, it would be helpful if you could provide screenshots of the areas you want to modify.

The appearance of a website is primarily determined by your theme.
I suggest you also contact your theme support and ask for advice.

Looking forward to your response. ??

    Best regards.

    Hi @ulf01,

Thats nice and there is indeed a Cross Sell Block. But I can’t find an Up-Sell Block.

The cart block only supports the Cross Sell option, not Up Sells. Cross sells are supposed to show up on the cart page. The Up Sells show up only on the products page. You can learn more about this here: https://woocommerce.com/document/managing-products/product-editor-settings/#linked-products-section.

Regarding the layout modifications you want to do for your cart page, could you share screenshots of what you’re currently seeing, please? You can use Snipboard.io to quickly share screenshots on the forums. That way we can learn more about what you currently have, and you can better explain your desired outcome!

I hope this helps so far!
