Up until 4/25/21 the Cart Orders page, accessible from the dashboard, was working fine. It has not worked since. I have personally placed orders and they have not been recorded. Why not?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

It has not worked since. I have personally placed orders and they have not been recorded. Why not?

Have the orders been added to your PayPal account?

I just completed a test in my dev site and I added a new order manually. I then checked the Cart Orders tab and I could see the order added. I can confirm this is working for me in my dev site. Do you have the latest plugin version running in your site? Do you have any other shopping cart plugin running in your site as well?

    Kind regards.

Simple WordPress Shopping Cart Plugin, very easy to use and great for selling products and services from your blog!

I have no other shopping plugins on this site.

Orders are in my client’s PayPal account and PayPal notified my client of the sale.

I have asked my client to confirm that they are in his PayPal account but I am going to say YES they are.

    Hi,

I have asked my client to confirm that they are in his PayPal account but I am going to say YES they are.

Unfortunately I can confirm that when I added a new order in my dev site, the order was added to the cart orders. There might be a conflict with one of your other plugins.

    Kind regards.

The only thing that may be stopping the logging to cart orders would be the security plugin.

I can whitelist the ip. Can you tell me what the ip is that is recording the orders to the Cart Orders?

Hi, if you think whitelisting the IP address will work for you then you need to speak to your host about the IP address your site is using. Remember if you are adding an IP address it must be a static and not a dynamic IP address.

    Kind regards.

I do not understand what my host has to do with it.

Cart Orders when I first set up WP Shopping Cart were being recorded.

    They quit April 2021.

My security plugin has blocked “paypal-notification”. I searched, online for PayPal’s ip addresses so that I can white-list them. I found a list published by PayPal. I have white-listed them all.

I would like to only white list one, but it seems you do not have one to share with me.

Dynamic or Static IP’s I do not know. I am just trying to get WP Shopping Cart to work and do what it is suppose to do.

My apologies, I misunderstood the question.

What security plugin are you running in your site? Have you also contacted them to see if they can assist you with this issue?

Unfortunately I don’t use your security plugin and only they can help you with this issue.

A dynamic IP address is constantly changing meaning that you never have the same IP address assigned to your session. A static IP address is an IP address that is always the same no matter how many times you run a session: i.e. Log into your site.

    Kind regards.

Thank you for the explanation of Static and Dynamic IPs.

Whitelisting the paypal.notify.com IP address has resolved the problem.

I am using WP Cerber Security 9.0

    Thanks again.
