• Hi,

I’ve been using PYS with CAPI integration and lately the Events Manager section is flooded with errors:

    • PageView Event not de-duplicated
    • Purchase Event not de-duplicated
    • ViewContent Event not de-duplicated
    • Missing Purchase value parameter
    • Potentially violating Personal data sent to Facebook
    • On one multisite network language install is not even tracking purchases

The setup was done correctly, back then everything worked fine. Did CAPI testing and the events were being deduplicated, now a few months later it’s a total mess.

    1. Test your events to see if they are deduplicated. If the test shows that they are, you should be fine. It’s possible to have false positives.

Our events will always have the required deduplication parameters. If some events are not deduplicated, they are probably fired by something else.

Here’s a video that shows you how to test CAPI events: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqAIO1ONc0I

    2. Missing Purchase value parameter

Our default Purchase events always have the value parameter. Do you use WooCommerce? Do a test transaction and check if the Purchase event has value.

    3. Potentially violating Personal data sent to Facebook

We have a video about this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sM9yNkBK6Eg

    4. On one multisite network language install is not even tracking purchases

I need more details about this one.

    Hi,

First I must stress that between the time everything worked fine and now, nothing changed on the site.

    1. Tested, the events are not deduplicated. When I first set up CAPI a month or two ago, it worked fined and the deduplications were visible in the diagnostics tools.

On the checkout page I got these notification from the chrome extension (altough these events are being tracked in the ads manager):

Page View Event & Initiate Checkout
We detected event code but the pixel has not activated for this event, so no information was sent to Facebook. This could be due to an error in the code, but could also occur if the pixel fires on a dynamic event such as a button click.

    EVENT INFO (PageView)
    Setup Method: Manual
    Pixel Code: Show
    Pixel Location: Show
    Frame: Window
    Event ID: ce1dd7b2-b0aa-40ff-9b58-7a7deea44121

    2. On the Woocommerce Thank you page however I don’t see any Pixels! Is this normal?

    1. Make sure you update the plugin to its latest version. There was a Facebook API update that can have an impact on some accounts.

    2. There are issues with Pixel Helper, it’s better to check with Events Manager testing tool. If you see the browser event there, it’s fine and you can ignore the Pixel Helper report.

And one more thing, don’t ask support for the paid version on this forum.

Contact us on our website, and if the form doesn’t work (we are looking into this), reply to one of our emails.

We are not allowed to offer support for the paid version here.
