After trying all other Mailchimp/Woo integrations this is by far the best.

However, I’d like to stop products that are marked as hidden in the catalogue from getting over to Mailchimp at all. They are currently being read into MailChimp’s Product Recommendations Block. If there was some way to stop them going over or some way of stopping them appearing in that Recommendation Block?

    Be happy for ever,
    Steve

  • Hey Steve,

Thanks for getting in touch. Glad to hear the plugin is working well for you! I can help shed some light on what to expect with MailChimp’s Product Recommendation feature.

The Product Recommendations will always recommend a product unless it is out of stock. It currently will show products marked as Hidden, though I can agree that this could be improved to be a bit smoother of an experience. I’ll be sure to pass that feedback along on your behalf, though in the meantime, those products will show as the item quantity is above zero.

If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to let us know! We’re here to help.

Catalogue visibility: hidden, are hidden for a reason. Mine because I use them to populate eBay/Amazon channels. I cannot set them as out of stock. And I cannot show them in Mailchimp’s Recommendation Block. I’ll need to hide the block until you are able to fix this.

    Be happy for ever,

    Hey @stevehoo,

Thanks for following up. I definitely see what you mean here and how this is problematic for managing your projects. I’m going to investigate further and do some additional testing on this to make sure we’re thoroughly looking at all the information here.

I’ll touch base again later today with an update after we’ve completed some deeper testing on our end.

    Hey @stevehoo,

Thanks for the patience while we took some time to test this further. I was able to replicate this behavior on my end and definitely agree this is far from ideal. I can see the advantages of hiding WooCommerce products carrying over into MailChimp to make sure things are consistent. I’m going to be sure I pass this along to our developers.

Thanks for your understanding while we continue tracking this issue. Let us know if you have any questions in the future.
