On my Event Calendar, I can add an event and the event shows up on the calendar. However, when I click on the event, I get the following:

Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /home/knowther/public_html/wp-content/themes/rttheme6/functions.php on line 314

I’m a novice at this, but I am assuming that the calendar is not playing nicely with my theme. It did at one point, but does not any longer.

    Any help would be appreciated.

hennonb: does this happen with only a default, unmodified theme and no other plugins running except for The Events Calendar?

harlemworldblog: that does indeed sound completely different. Please post a new thread of your own, per www.ads-software.com forum rules.

    Thanks!

Hi hennob, I’ll mark this resolved since you haven’t replied – but if you do still need help then please do post a reply. Thanks!

Barry, I am having a similar problem as the one listed here. I am using Theme TSWWide and it is default. I am using Simple Social Button plug in but got the same warning when I had Sharoholic plugin. The warning shows up only on Events and the plugin for that is The Events Calendar. Here is the message. Warning: array_shift() expects parameter 1 to be array, boolean given in /home/content/12/11171512/html/wp-content/plugins/simple-social-buttons/simple-social-buttons.php on line 281

    The website is sheltoncarenet.org.

I actually got rid of it when I changed the Events Calendar template to default from page.

    Hi brucet1952,

I’m sorry you’re having trouble. Have you tried deactivating other plugins to look for a conflict, or switching to a default theme like Twenty Twelve? It sure sounds like it’s a conflict with Simple Social Button and Sharoholic.

If you can isolate this as an issue that’s inherent to The Events Calendar, we’d be happy to look into it further. Unfortunately, we can’t help troubleshoot conflicts here on the free forum. If you do find a conflict, you can try getting in touch with the developer of the theme or plugin and see if they can shed some light on the issue.

    Best,
    Leah
