Catchbox Theme and Layout Issues

  • Hi,

    I’ve installed the car demon plugin and am using the Catchbox theme.
    I have enabled use included theme files, because when I disable it, the other thumbnail photos do not show and neither does the main photo or the vehicle information.

    Okay, that aside. I’m using the vehicle detail sidebar and have added the loan calculator, search for vehicles and the contact form widget. Instead of showing next to the content on the right, it is showing up below the content where the description and tabs are. I’m not sure which css file I need to look at and adjust to fix this issue. Anyone have any ideas?

  • Sounds like your theme has set the main DIV (where car demon content is) too wide due to using the default theme files.

    The way to correct this is to copy the single-cars_for_sale.php from the Theme Files folder into your Theme’s folder.

    Under the Appearances Menu you can edit this “single-” file to make it work within your theme.

    Without seeing your theme’s files I can’t tell you what to cut and paste. Whats the link to your site again? You can fake it with some CSS code, but modifying the “single-” file is the correct way to go about it.

    I have the site installed on wamp on my machine as I work on it, sorry a link isn’t available.

    The single car listing vehicle sidebar ends up under the content. You are probably right about the div.

    The archive, (the multiple car listing) does the same thing and what’s really strange is that on the listing, I don’t have any active widgets on the theme’s sidebar, yet archives and meta show up.

    I’ll see what I can come up with…Will let you know.
