When creating a category and then subcategory, I’m getting a less than 100/100 because rank math says my keyword won’t be in the url. ie

    craftshop.com/handmade/clothing/shirt

Where handmade is the parent and clothing the sub category.

If I put handmade as the keyword when making the parent cat, I get 100/100

If I put handmade clothing as the key phrase when making the clothing subcategory I get 89/100 even though handmade WILL be in the final url.

If I just put clothing, I get 100/100 but my desired key phrase would be handmade clothing.

Should I worry about the 89/100?

Can Rank Math not pick up on the fact that handmade will indeed be in the url?

I gets even worse with a product because it doesn’t seem to see the parent or subcategory and with my permalink structure, both will be in the url.

Or maybe my keyword should just be shirt?

    Hello @jhnpldng

Thank you for contacting the support.

At this time, the plugin checks only for an exact match keyword to keep the plugin lightweight and fast.

You can follow the following guide to reach 100:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/score-100-in-tests/

But please stay advised that these tests are just guidelines and one does not need to follow them religiously.

At the end of the day, the content needs to be written for the readers and not for the search engines.

Scoring higher points in Rank Math’s tests won’t guarantee higher rankings.

Hope that helps. If there’s anything else we can assist you with, please let us know. We are here to help.
