Categories and tags not showing in Gutenberg

I see I’m not the only one experiencing this but categories and tags aren’t showing in the editor. They do in the Classic Editor but not Gutenberg. There are two custom metaboxes, one for a few ACF fields and another for Featured Image From URL.

Of course there is a fairly easy workaround, to manage these via Quick Edit in the post list, but that’s not the best UX.

Not sure if this is a bug or user error, if anyone sees what I don’t I’d appreciate a hint.
