categories checkboxes instead select for search field

  • Hello,
    I would like to change the mode of selection in the template / search / categories.php files in checkboxes, to be able to select several categories of location is it possible or I have headache for nothing?

    Because by the styles it is not possible for EM_POST_TYPE_LOCATION, unless you missed something?
    In a word: help ??

    At the moment that’s not possible because even if you created a custom version of the file you mentioned, the search function would not be able to handle multiple locations.

    I came across this question and I try to do the same but not with locations but with categories. Would it be possible to change the category dropdown in the search field into checkboxes?
