Categories created, but not appearing in sidebar

I’ve created multiple Categories for my posts, and assigned the posts to the appropriate Category(ies), but none of the Categories appear in the sidebar.

The only Categories that do are those with external links.

My blog is a subdomain of my website, which is hosted on a server with FrontPage extensions enabled. I heard that FP exts can affect the functionality of WP. COuld this be the problem, and if so, is there a way to remedy it, other than disabling the FP exts?

I’m running the plain vanilla Kubrick theme with default settings.
