Categories – defaulting issue and parent/child issue
-
Hi Chris. Thank you for your hard work, this plugin is terrific.
I searched high and low and saw your ‘category’ tickets but I didn’t see these issues, maybe I’m confused.
I have set specific categories but testimonials are defaulting to include the lowest ID one (even if it is unchecked) + whichever other one that I have selected on the input form. if I select the lowest selection (ID) it only shows that one appropriately, (without duplicating) Is there a ‘default’ setting on the admin side that I have overlooked?.
**EDIT: I deleted the initial category (ID5) and created it anew (ID23) and now it seems to have self-corrected to applying only the selected category.**Secondly, I have parent and child categories i.e. (P)’Corporate Client’ and (C)’CEO’, (C)’Administration’, (C)’Liaison’
In my experience – with an older theme (2013) and different site – if I simply choose a child it will auto-select the parent as well (as I would like, i.e. ‘Corporate Client, Liaison’)
Now using twentyseventeen theme and Strong Testimonial, selecting child categories do not auto-select the parent, is there a way to do that?
Thank you for your time, it is much appreciated.
