• Hi!

One of my clients has an issue with categories in My Calendar. Categories simply don’t work, and won’t show any results. I tried modifying the theme seeing if that might have anything to do with it, to no avail. Mostly to include mc-events as a post type in search queries. It’s a pretty highly modified theme as it is because of all the changes the client wanted, but it’s stable, so I’m confused as to why My Calendar wouldn’t work. The original theme is here. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.

Also, would buying a pro license fix anything at all either?

Can you describe what you mean by “don’t work”? Based on the link you sent, you’re trying to view categories based on the taxonomy terms, which isn’t really a supported behavior in My Calendar. Similarly, searching the events through the post type is likely to have some unexpected results.

My Calendar events use posts as a data store for custom fields, but the management of event views is otherwise handled through custom tables. The category taxonomies are largely unused at this time. That’s not to say it isn’t possible; but since I haven’t made use of them, it’s not something I’ve done any testing with.

I’m getting a certificate warning when I try to follow your link, so I haven’t taken a look at the page.

No particular reason a pro license would effect this issue.
