Categories going away in 2.3?

Categories, both for links and posts are still there. They do share the same structure (they’re in the same tables) with tags.

Couldn’t find it for a second.

Is there a list of plugins or actions that do this ?

I use WP-dTree for my largest category site.

I upgraded to 2.3 with little pain.

So its resolved.
