CATEGORIES HAVE DISAPPEARED

  • My categories have just disappeared? they are there as i can see them when i click a post and can browse through the posts in categories. but i can’t see them in my categorys tab or my menu tab? every time i make a new category and refresh that category also disappears?

  • I have a similar but different problem. All of my menu tabs have automatically added all of my pages, and are adding new categories as I make pages, even though the box is unchecked saying, “Add new categories to this menu as they are made”.

    My bottom menu looks HORRIBLE because it has EVERY page I’ve ever made and I had to do a bunch of pages with meaningless titles to forward to new pages as I’m rebuilding a site.

    HELP! My site is totally screwed up since I updated to the new version. Please fix this. My site looks AWFUL>

    You can see the bottom menu here. The top menu is not supposed to have ‘hearing loss’ ‘News’ or ‘Fluoroquinolone advocacy’ on it. And it didn’t before the latest update.

    I was able to solve my problem and get my categories the way that I wanted them by check marking the box that corresponded with the menu that I was on. So, when I was on the ‘top menu’ I had to check the box that says “Primary menu’. When I was on the bottom menu, I had to check mark the box that said, ‘Footer’.

    I don’t know why that solved the problem, but it did.

    My categories seem to have disappeared completely – and I can’t make menus.

    I’ve tried creating new categories and new menus but when I refresh they just disappear. There’s also no categories when I’m writing a new post – but the categories tab is there.

    It seems like a joint problem between my menu and caregories. Not sure what to do!!
