  • Hi pkross,

    Appreciate your feedback.

    I’m not quite sure what you mean under “disappeard”. If “News” is a custom post type, then simply click on the “News” title and that will drill-down to the list of all news posts and categories.

    Keep me updated if you still have problems with that.

    Hi Vasyl,

    What has happened is in the news type in the WP admin the panel to select categories has gone missing. I deactivate AAM and it re-appears. I Does that make more sense?

    Oh. Yeap. Now it make sense. What plugin are you using for News?

    Thank you,
    Vasyl

    Thanks Vasyl.
    It’s been done by a third party but by the looks of it it’s a custom post type. That whole sub-panel has disappeared.

    Ok. There might be few possible scenarios.

    1. You might have that menu filtered (restricted) on your user level (go to AAM page and switch to your user and check if it is restricted);
    2. Your user might not have capability that is assigned to custom News menu (it is hard to know what capability is assigned, you might want to check that in your code);
    3. There might be some weird “leftovers” from AAM 2.x version that cause this issue (you can try to reset all settings under Utilities tab – AAM Utilities extension is required for that and it is free).

    If non of the above apply to you, is it possible to obtain a copy of your custom implementation? We would like to test it on our local server.

    Our email address is [email protected]

    Thank you,
    Vasyl

    The reset seems to have fixed it. Will have have to set everything up again?

    Thanks so much for your time Vasyl.
