Categories not displaying

  • Hi everyone
    I wonder if anybody could help me out. I am trying to build a very simple site with right and top navigation. I can’t seem to get my categories to display even though they are there.

    I also tried using widgets which looked very simple on watching a vide on it but wont do want i want it to do. E.g. tried to remove archives and blogroll but still remains there.

    Will be very grateful for any help.

  • Are all of your sidebars bar widget-ready? Check in Admin/Appearance/Widgets. If you don’t the correct number of sidebars listed on the right of that page, then the answer will be “No”. In which case, you’ll need to edit at least 1 or more of your sidebar template files to either widgetize it or to adjust the code to your needs.

    Thank you for your response. I have no idea of what you are talking about with regards to widgets but like the enjoyed watching the video for non techie. How do you know they are widget ready? Didn’t know you can edit pages in that way.

    Did you look in Admin/Appearance/Widgets?
