Categories not linking properly

    I have switched to a completely default 2012 theme and removed every plug-in and this problem is still persisting. My site looks very naked right now and I need help!

    I don’t exactly know how to describe the problem, but will do so to the best of my ability. The best thing is for you to experience the issue on my site for yourself:

    If you click on any category, instead of listing a series of posts in that category, it lists all the most recent posts regardless of category, basically mirroring what should be the front page of the site.

    When I regenerate the permalinks, it works ok and then inexplicably reverts back to the behavior.

    No plug-ins are active and I am using the default 2012 theme with WP 3.5.2. Can someone please help me with this?
