Categories not updating

After posting ads that should appear on every page, they show up on the front page and on article pages, but when readers click on the categories, the ads are not there, OLD ads are, and older articles, like it’s stuck on last month.

What’s really strange is that this is not the universal experience. I can see it correctly on Firefox (the browser I used to post the ad), and the categories are up-to-date – on both my iMac and iBook.

On Safari, I had the problems described above – again on both iMac and iBook. SOME people have the same experience – with Safari, Chrome, and Firefox on macs and PCs.

Just now I posted another ad (using Safari this time). Now I can see it and the other ad on all pages, and the categories are updated. Same with Firefox, same on both computers (and iPad).

Now the client can’t see either ad and it’s till out-of-date.

“Normally” there’s a lag between posting or repositioning an ad and it appearing everywhere it should. I suspect it is supposed to be more immediate, and whether that’s a clue to the current problem.

Any ideas?
