Using Enfold theme and have latest versions of WooCommerce, Enfold and wordpress. After last update of WooCommerce, all the categories are no longer working. I have disabled the Enfold theme and just used default 2015 to see if it was theme related and it is doing the same thing in 2015. I am using the WooCommerce product category widget but it won’t pull anything in. Also, I have my shop page set to show categories and subcategories and it just shows all of the products in alphabetical order instead. I see them listed in the product categories page in the admin and in the menu section so they are there but seems like something is missing somewhere. Please advise. This is a dev site.

    Thanks!

    1. Settings > Permalinks > save
    2. If that fails, look at plugins

Seen some users running WPML with similar issues, in case you are too.

I deactivated all plug-ins, that did not do it. I am not running WPML. I saved permalinks and it still is not seeing the categories populate the widget or the shop page correctly. Is there any other info I can provide to help troubleshoot this?

    thanks

Seems I have to go into each product and hit update in order for the category to show up. I was editing one of the products and once I hit update, the category it is placed in showed up in both the widget and the shop page. No other ones, just the ones associated with the product I was updating. These products were imported using WP All Import Pro but categories were being recognized until the last Woo Update.

deleted the import of products that were in there before the update and re-imported some to see what would happen and seems to be pulling them in now. Hopefully it will not wipe them out with the next update. Thanks for your time. I think it’s good now.

    Ok ??

We are experiencing a similar issue with https://www.cross-country-ski.com/shop. I updated the plugins 2 days ago. They have been adding products but now the categories page only shows 3 categories no matter what I do. I’ve tried reverting to all old plugins, nothing. I tried Permalinks > Save, nothing. I have resaved Categories and Products, nothing. Please help.

ponderconsulting it will show top level, populated categories only. No products = no display.

my categories are saving to the database and showing on the front end but I can’t see them in the backend dashboard woo commerce category settings… please help.
