Categories order posts by date

  • Hi, i have some problems with the posts that appear in the categories at the homepage, i need them to order by date (most recent).

    New posts appear normally in the sidebar and slider, but in the categories the old ones are “stucked” and the new ones dont show up

    Since i posted, i would like to know too if the Leaf theme is working 100% in the lastest WordPress version (3.5.1). I didn’t update yet because im afraid to desconfigure my blog.

    I made some changes in the home.php, but a long time ago, and in that time the Categories posts appears correctly by date.

    As you can see, in the categories like “Brasil” are displaying old posts, only when you click in categories and go to a specific page, the new posts shows up.

    I noticed an important thing, the real problem is that the posts that are showing in the slider (most recent posts) never appears at the same time in the categories.

    How do i change that? Because i dont mind if one post appears in the categories and slider at the same time, as long as everything keep in order by date.

    slider posts are excluded from the categories on the home page.
    you chose a category for the slider in the theme options?

    Hi,

    Sorry the ignorance, but what is the function of this “child theme”? If i install it is there some risk of damaging my blog?

    I didn’t choose a categorie for the slider, it just displays the recent posts

    theme child can continue to update the theme without losing the modifications.
    it is not a function but a clone of the leaf theme.

    if the slider displays recent posts then they are all excluded categories, which is why it is best to create a category for the slider.
