    I have read some other postings claiming there are issues with viewing the page that should show when you someone clicks on one of the event categories. I have troubleshot this for a while now, and cannot figure out what the problem is. I read on this forum that some were saying you must make sure you have the radio button checked for overriding the theme settings, which I do. I am a web developer myself, and still, I am unable to figure out why no matter what I do, when I go to a category page, there is no content. In fact, if you inspect element, you will see this:

    <div id="content" style="float:left;">
    </div>

    [Moderator Note: Please post markup between backticks or use the code button. Your posted code may now have been permanently damaged by the forum’s parser.]

    So, no content is being generated at all.

    One of my event detail pages, which contains the category links, can be viewed here: https://sociallysuperlative.com/events/plate-by-plate-tasting-benefit/.

    Can you please help me?

    Thanks,

    Lindsay

  • Hi Lindsay,

    If you go to Events > Settings > Pages > Event Categories do you have something selected under the Categories page dropdown? If not, choose your theme’s category template and see if that fixes the problem.

    Yes, I do have a page selected: Events/Categories, set to my theme’s default template, as there is no categories template. I tried setting it to some of the other templates, but they all give the same result.

    Is your event categories Override with Formats is turned-on ? Events > Pages > Event Categories > Override with Formats =Yes or try to disable it and then create a new taxonomy template – https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/taxonomy-events-categories-cannot-output-em_category?replies=4

    I didn’t even try what you just suggested because I finally was able to get it working. I had a specific page selected to be used for the category pages: events/categories. When I changed that to no categories page, it worked!

    Thanks for your help!
