Categories to show for the particular pages

  • Hello , I just want to show the categories for a particular page. Right now all my categories are messed up. I have many main categories and a lots of subcategories under them. And it’s to difficult for the viewers to go through it. So all i just want is – my site is based on sweepstakes, freebies etc. under sweepstakes and freebies , there’s a lot of categories say a,b,c,d,e etc. Now in the home page, when someone landed on it,i just want to show only the main categories – sweepstakes and freebies. And i’d like to hide all other sub categories in the front page. now when someone clicking on sweepstakes option and a new page is opened – usafreebiesdaily/sweepstakes , in here i want to show all the subcategories under the sweepstakes category. Please read carefully. It’s a simple fix may be a plug in available for it but i just didn’t find it yet. i am using icynets simplic theme. Please help me on this.

  • do you have any option through widgets or plugins to select categories that are showing on home page…

    Actually i created the menu through jetpack plugin. Where i selected the sweepstakes, freebies, coupons, and other pages .When i was creating the menu, It showed me the option to select the options from Categories. And i selected the main 4 categories and then pages.It’s looking good. But at the right side of my site , you can see a category option is available. That’s the thing i want to manage.i don’t want to show it that way. And there is no way right now to manage it with my existing plugins. May be i can show you another site as an example. Here is an example what i want. In the home page the categories need to appear like this –

    and when i am going to select an option, say sweepstakes, all the subcategories under the sweepstakes going to appear on the page like this in the sidebar –
