    Hello.
I know this plug-in is no longer supported and there are questionable compatible issues with the latest version of WP, but this particular job manager seems to do exactly what I want it to do so would really like to use it!

My query relates to job categories and custom forms.

I have created some categories, and I have associated jobs to particular categories. This is fine and works.
However, on the application form I want to associate specific questions to a certain category, but when I create a question, then tick the relevant category I want it to appear in, the question doesn;t appear at all on the front end – not in any category let alone the one it should appear. The only time questions appear is if NONE of the categories are checked.

Does someone have a fix for this or have managed to get around the problem themselves?

    I hope someone can help!

    Thanks

    Hello again.

It seems the issue is relating to the permalinks. It seems the site doesn’t like the /jobs/apply/886 (for example) structure, but the basic /page=345&j=886 . I can see a few people have mentioned this, but I’d be keen to know if anyone found a workaround. I’m happy to change the code if required?!

I don’t really want to change the whole site to use the default permalink structure – my client prefers the full postname structure!

    Hope someone can help!

THIS PLUGIN is going to get updated to at least WP 4.0 standards. I just took this over from Gary in late June and have been working on putting a team together to do that, as well as polling current users on the most pressing issues. Hold on for another week or so as wee assess the code and I will be prepping an update on the road map ahead for this plugin…..so pass it on this, guy has a lot of life left in it.

It appears that many issues can be resolved by updating to the current release of WordPress 4.0 and ensuring that your plugins are also updated.

We are testing now with current version on several sites with WP 4.0 as well as the latest update and so far no new reported issues and many of the older reported issues have been resolved due to updates to WP core since JM was originally coded. We still have a lot of work to do, but thought I would post this if you were sitting on the fence about updating WP.
