• Suddenly today, my little box to select the category a post goes in is blank. I can click on popular categories tab and that works, but the regular listing of categories has just disappeared. Also, in the page source, there is css to make each category display:none. I can’t find where this css is being added. Help!

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    – increasing the memory available to PHP?

I tried all of the above. Still no resolve.

The issue is the inline css in the post that’s causing the categories to not be displayed. I can’t figure out where it’s coming from. I’m now running the site with no plugins activated and it’s still showing up in the source. Please help!
