Category change won’t update

  • suddenly when I went to change the category for a post and hit update it goes through the motion of updating but then revert back to previous catalog

    it might be cache issue purge the cache with litespeed plugin or use the wprocket to purge the cache and then check

    I am having a similar issue with categories. No matter what I select it goes to the default category in General–>Writing. So when I save it the post it just bounces back.

    There was a CACHE plugin I removed but it just dropped back in to see if it worked but no luck. Is this an issue with 6.7?

    I checked on cache within wp and also had my host purge. It seemed to fix it once but then I made another change and while it is appearing where I want it the category check mark disappears.

    Firstly you need to purge the cache again and remove cache plugin because sometimes cache plugins are so frustrating on the other hand sometimes hosting provider is local so when we change the anything on the website it will implement after the couple of hours.
