Well, same page/URL, but a different section – am I misunderstanding then? Aren’t we looking at the fact that, for example, “Event 1” on March 18 has a red colour despite being assigned to the All Level category?

I’m looking at https://clienthome.co.uk/sports/events/month/ on my iPad and the event title is only white text. The page source was using the ‘View Source’ ios app.

I’m looking at events below the legend. Maybe because it’s looking like mobile for me. I’ll take a closer look at #wcsd15.

thanks again for all the help,

Barry just so you are aware the red color is the base theme color. ??

Ah, that is probably why we’re approaching this from different angles, then ??

Definitely – are you able to give the solution I suggested earlier another try (the gist has been updated) – remember to modify the colours in the settings slightly to clear the cache.

    Hi
I tried adding the updates from the gist on localhost and it did not make a difference, but im not sure if i did it correctly because i didnt see any changes.

if it makes things easier I’ve created a login to the site called andy with the password andy, its set as subscriber but if you login and change the password i can then change the role to admin. If that helps (thinking it may make it easier as you can see everything that way).

Barry if you want me to do the changes manually I can if you let me know what to change, or if you want a login let me know where to send it to and ill get one over to you ??
    thanks

@theodotcom, you have at least 3 lines in various places that are causing problems. It is all based on the same CSS selector.

    .events-archive.events-gridview #tribe-events-content table .vevent

If you search throughout all the places that you have CSS buried and comment out these lines it should work.

This selector is in the main page inline, in the dark-style.css file and in your karate/style.css file.

Find and comment out those lines and let’s see what it looks like. My previous issue was because I was using mobile. Sorry.

    Hi Andy

Yes I’ve seen them 3 entries that are causing the problem, and if i do remove them the problem fixes itself, tried it in inspect element and it worked but is there a way the plugin could overwrite them with its own css selector to take priority with a !important or something like that, if that makes sense?

    thanks

    Plugin Author Andy Fragen

    (@afragen)

The problem for that to happen is we’d have to go back to writing all our CSS inline. We thought that was no a good idea as it doesn’t all for caching and in some cases the same CSS was inserted twice.

I still think it’s not a great idea. Also, I’m not a big fan of !important and not so sure it would work here. The problem here is that at least one of these instances in in the actual file and as such has the highest priority.

Is there anything else that changes substantially if those lines are commented out?

    Hi
Sorry I was sure i replied to this, no nothing else seems to change if them lines are commented out. just ideally wanted a way to do it without having to change theme files ??

    Plugin Author Andy Fragen

    (@afragen)

@theodotcom as you seem to have many customizations to your theme and many overrides the simple solution would be to comment out those lines. The issue is only arising because of these specific customizations and if they are styling the vary items that you wish this plugin to style it seems that eliminating this conflict from that side will be the easier solution.

Thanks and let me know if there are further issues.

    Andy
