I enjoy gamepress a lot. Thanks for having it out for free. I was wondering if there was a line of code that I could use that would allow the descriptions of a Category to show up. I have it written in but it doesn’t display when I go to the website and in the description box from the administration panel it says that it doesn’t normally show and some themes do allow it. Is there a way that it could happen with this theme?

Oh and also, if there is a way for pages that are categories to not have it say wordpress.com/category/example and say wordpress.com/example in the html address. If that is a different topic, I’ll put it in a different forum.

I think it’s a good idea to display category descriptions, so I might include it in the next theme update.
Your second question doesn’t have anything to do with the theme, but before you start new topic for that you should search around, it’s fairly popular question.

Oh cool! I look forward to it.
Yeah I didn’t think so. I did look around about it and apparently it’s just something that WordPress does. I know I can mess with it so it doesn’t say category but I can’t really get rid of it :/ Thanks for the help!

I think there are plugins for this… check No Category Base.

ps. I’d appreciate it if you could rate the theme ??

Alright I will look around. I have rated it, since it quite simply is an amazing theme.

I found it and the plug-in works like a charm! Thanks for the suggestion. I didn’t think that plug-ins affected the address, just what was in the page.
