Category Drop down list help

  • Hey everyone

    I have a question regarding a category drop down list. I’m a real novice with code and I’m wondering how to exclude a particular category(ies) from a dropdown list containing categories. The dropdown list itself is the default Category widget being displayed in the sidebar. Ideally I could use the Widgets Reloaded plugin but that doesn’t seem to have drop down list as an option for listing categories.
