Category Dropdown Menu w/ Content loading below instead of New page

Well my title pretty much sums up my dilemma. I already have a dropdown box coded that that echos out my category list, but instead of it opening in a new page when you select a category as it currently does, I would like to have the category contents appear below so they never have to leave the page. Any help would be great.
