Hmm, hard to say what may have caused this, to be honest. We haven’t done an update to CPTUI in a month, and the last one we had involved changes around converting taxonomies, and one detail with redirects. None of those should have had any effect here.

Have you added any other plugins or created any new pages with a similar slug to those above? Possible something is unexpectedly affecting the queries being made.

I made it work by taking out the podcast part – so now it reads for example: theshift.com/pod_cast_categories/the-months

BUT – this means I have to find all the links from before and change them.

I also have a category – store – that one too needs to have that category taken out and all the links changed.

And it could have been longer, I haven’t checked those links for awhile.

PLUS – sorry for if there are more of my questions showing up places around this same issue. Every time I typed in support here nothing happened so I kept trying.

    Thanks Michael

Sounds like a case of /post-type/taxonomy/taxonomy-term then. The found fix makes sense then, because it’d point to the intended taxonomy archive for each term. Not sure what may have helped the first one work originally, but post types in the tax archive doesn’t work out of box with WordPress.

No worries about potential duplicates, I found one and that’s all we need.

Thanks, Michael. Okay, I went back and fixed all the links. So however it happened it worked the other way before – doesn’t matter as long as it doesn’t change back. ??

Sounds good. Let us know if anything else comes up, and we’ll do the best we can to determine what’s going on.
