    Hi,

today we switched from Google Maps to OpenStreet to avoid needing a Google API Key.
We did not generate an OSM API key as we don’t need the routing.

Looked fine until we noticed that the category filter is not working, it always shows “no results” even if I choose “all”. I am not sure if it worked the last time with google maps, as we got the google API message since several weeks.

    The console message:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘getLatLng’)
    at Object.getStartCoordinates (wpsl-osm.min.js?ver=3.0.0-beta1:1:2612)
    at Object.success (wpsl.min.js?ver=3.0.0-beta1:1:11150)
    at c (jquery.min.js?ver=3.7.0:2:25266)
    at Object.fireWith as resolveWith
    at l (jquery.min.js?ver=3.7.0:2:77721)

    WP 6.3
    WSL Plugin latest
    PHP 8.1 (same with 7.4)

You can test it here: https://www.krebsgesellschaft-sh.de/angebote/krebswegweiser/

    Any idea?

Hi there Claudia, thanks for reaching out.

It seems you are using the beta version of our next release (3.0), which will indeed add support for other mapping engines different from Google Maps.

The problem is that the beta is still a work in progress and, being beta software, it is expected that it will contain bugs. Since the beta is actually not public, if we did send you the beta at your request, please send us a private support ticket and we’ll review it.

If you obtained the beta from other sources, we recommend that you stop using it for now, as it is still an incomplete work. Sorry about that.

Ah okay… we have version 2.9.971 installed, not 3.0.

I remember we got this version a long time ago cause of another bug with the ‘more info’ functionality / conflict with borlabs plugin…
Can you see if this is fixed in the official WPSL version?
This was the info I got more than a year ago:

We are aware of this issue, other user have reported it as well. I have been talking to the dev team and they have fixed this compatibility issue for the upcoming 3.0 update (still unreleased, but it shouldn’t be long now).

But then I know that OSM is not ready yet ??

Yes, version numbers 2.9.X correspond to early drafts of the 3.0 version that will be released hopefully soon, it was almost ready back then when we first spoke but we have been adding more functionality and the final release is still incomplete, sorry about that.

The latest stable version (2.2.241) does not show that bug with the “More info” link when having the Borlabs Cookie plugin enabled, so please try it out and let us know if it works for you.

Hm.. got some problems switching back.. is there a possibility to reset settings?

Every time I try to save settings I get redirected to /wp-admin/options.php
And the frontend page with the SL is broken (body class “error-page”).

Same when I switch back to the BETA version.

    Hi there Claudia:

As I mentioned in the support ticket that you wrote us, a server error log would be most useful to determine the nature of the issues you are experiencing when switching from the beta to the stable version, so let me know if you can get your hands on such log.

    Regards,
