Category in email notification not working

    Hi Greg,

    I have set up an email to go to the site administrator using the WPAdverts Email Templates.

    Everything is working fine apart from the categories aren’t coming through.

    The Field Name in Custom Fields is: advert_category

    The Fill Method is: Use registered data source

    Data Source: Advert Categories

    One the email template I’m using: {$advert|meta:advert_category}

    However that is the only content from the advert not translating into the email.

    Can you suggest how the categories selected by the user can be brought into the email please?

    We are using WPAdverts Professional Plus.

    Hi,

    sorry for the late reply, i was taking a break during the holidays.

    To answer your question, the advert_category is a taxonomy (not a custom field) so to get it’s value you need to use the terms function like this

    {$advert|terms:advert_category}

    This should print the advert category assigned to the $advert or list of categories separated by coma if more than one category was selected for the $advert.
