Category in URL redirects to original URL

Thanks for using my plugin!

This can only be done if: if permalink is set to: ‘/%category%/%postname%/‘
and the parameter Category to Pages -> Unique page categories/tags: is OFF.
In other words, this is only possible if you use the WordPress POST categories for PAGES.

Thanks for your reply. I have followed your instructions and categories are created under POSTS. However, I have inserted the ‘/%category%/%postname%/‘ in the permalink of my page in WordPress. However, I get the below URL:

https://www.humidwithachanceoffishballs.com/%categorypostname-2/

Can you please advise on how to fix this issue?

Please enter only: /%category%/%postname%/ as permalink, without the ”
Copy the permalink here above and paste into the permalink field.

Hi Jenny,

Try to edit the page again, switch from category while editing and save again.

Does it still works for POST instead PAGE?

If this is not working: please contact your hosting provider for this issue.
Seems to be that the .htaccess file is not correctly updated.
