It may help to open a new issue on https://github.com/WordPress/classic-editor/issues, because this plugin doesn’t have a clear author designation, but this could turn out to be a WordPress core issue as well, so opening a ticket on https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/ may be appropriate too.

What versions of WordPress does the problem occur with?

@galbaras the latest, WordPress 6.6. The problem is not present in WordPress 6.5. You are right, could be a Classic Editor or a WordPress core issue.

I don’t see this problem on my test sites. Could it be related to specific themes or plugins?

Just FYI: this was fixed in core in WP 6.6.1.
