category listing, very long list

I am working on my drive-in movie theatre blog.

The problem I have is I want to list each town under which ever of the 50 US states it is located in.

The result would be a category list of 50 categories. With 1-500 sub-categories under each state. Around 2,000 to 4,000 lines.

That makes for a category list that is way too long.

I did a search in here and noticed some plugins that would ‘nest’ the sub-categories under each category. Click on astate name, the sub-categories then show up.

However when I checked the ones with links, the site was no longer available.

I have WP 2.2 and Tarski 1.4.

Is there a way to deal with this ?
